Fillet mignon enjoys a reputation of being the most tender of all beef cuts, coming right from the heart of the tenderloin. It’s so tender, it can often be cut with a fork. The taste and texture of the Markus steak was exceptional, the mushroom sauce giving it an extra savory quality. You choose the side-dishes and sauces (they cost extra). Our medium-rare steaks came with long, juicy slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini, plus a baked potato that turned out to be the biggest we’ve ever seen in Lithuania.

The setting of Markus and KO is reminiscent of an old expensive London pub and it’s located in a lovely part of Vilnius Old Town . The highlight of the restaurant is high quality steaks, but if you’re in the area it’s a lovely place to drop by just for coffee and desert. It is also one of Vilnius restaurants where you can enjoy live jazz music whilst you dine.
